Arbon Trust welcomes new Chair
February 17, 2022
The charitable arm of Propertymark has announced that former NAEA Propertymark President, Lauren Scott is taking over the role as Chair at a pivotal time for the industry’s people.
Lauren — who is Managing Director of Trading Place Estate Agents in Whitley Bay — succeeds Aiden Reid, who will become a Trustee. She will be joined by Phil Keddie (former ARLA Propertymark President) as a new face at the Trust.
Fundraising
Arbon Trust has been registered as a charity since 2015 and focuses on supporting causes through fundraising activities helping to raise tens of thousands of pounds and has provided members facing extreme difficulties with vital financial support when it was needed most.
Recent examples include Propertymark’s big family walking event which took place over the pandemic and raised over £7,000 for Young Minds, a mental health charity focusing on young people plus the Great Agent Sleep Out, which saw agents from across the country spend a night in the elements raising £66,573 for the homeless charity, Centrepoint.
I’ve always been a keen advocate for everything we do at Arbon Trust, and it is ever-more important that given the effects of the pandemic on many people’s lives and mental health, we look to continue to support as many people as we can.
It is an honour to take on this role and responsibility and I look forward to making continued strides in the positive changes that our Trust makes.
