Members raise thousands for young peoples' mental health
June 15, 2021
Propertymark members, and their families across the UK, took to the outdoors last weekend (12 and 13 June) to raise money for the YoungMinds charity as part of our big family walking event.
Due to the ongoing restrictions we weren’t able to do this together. We instead encouraged families to go on their own walk between 1–5km and use that time to talk about mental health and raise awareness on this vital issue.
COVID-19 has presented many challenges, with a lot focused on adults, including work-related stress. However, the mental health of youngsters, who have dealt with loneliness, depression, and anxiety, has also seen a sharp rise throughout the pandemic.
Spearheaded by Liana Loporto Browne, NAEA Propertymark President-Elect, and inspired by ARLA Propertymark Regional Executive Natalie Barton’s daughters' experience was one of the many reasons why Propertymark chose YoungMinds as its 2021 charity.

Thank you to everyone who took part
Our campaign, supported by Propertymark Arbon Trust, saw 123 families take part who all raised more than £7,000 through Justgiving and other donations. The money will help continue the fight for a future where all young minds are supported through life, whatever the challenges.
The appetite and support the event has received has been fantastic and Propertymark would like to thank everyone for their donations and participation. If you would like to make a donation, the Justgiving page remains available for any further donations.
