NHS statistics show that mental disorders are becoming more common in young people which is why we have chosen to support the charity YoungMinds. To fundraise for this fantastic charity, we are organising a big family walking event on 5 June 2021.

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we won't be able to do this together, instead we want families to venture on their own walk (between 1km and 5km) and use that time to talk about mental health and help raise awareness on this vital issue.

On the day we will be asking everyone taking part to share their pictures with us on social media using the hashtag #Propertymark4YoungMinds. We are aiming to raise £10,000 to help support young people's mental health during this challenging time.

Members raise thousands for young peoples' mental health

Propertymark members, and their families across the UK, took to the outdoors last weekend (12 and 13 June) to raise money for the YoungMinds charity as part of our big family walking event.

I was so grateful that Natalie shared her and Amelia's recent experience, despite how difficult it must have been. Today, one in four children show some evidence of mental ill health and, sadly, Amelia's story is becoming more and more common.

YoungMinds' vision is to create a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health, and I feel we all have a responsibility to help with this. This is why we are fundraising for YoungMinds this year and I will be delighted if you would join us.
